eventual cese de actividades, abre camino para una serie de futuros posibles rearticulados desde estrategias de remediaci\u00f3n ambiental colectiva. A partir de herramientas como la especulaci\u00f3n y la representaci\u00f3n, los talleres de investigaci\u00f3n \u2018\u00bfQu\u00e9 pasa cu\u00e1ndo la mina cierre?\u2019 y \u2018Landscape Ledgers\u2019 dirigidos por la acad\u00e9mica e investigadora Linda Schilling, buscan proponer c\u00f3mo vivir en paisajes da\u00f1ados por el prolongado sometimiento a los efectos de la extracci\u00f3n. Introduciendo a las y los estudiantes en el uso de instrumentos de gesti\u00f3n ambiental p\u00fablicos, dichos talleres tienen como objetivo promover una mirada cr\u00edtica en torno a la disciplina, promoviendo el rol activo de la arquitectura como articuladora entre los diversos agentes presentes en un territorio.<\/p>\n<p>Esta instancia acad\u00e9mica se posiciona tambi\u00e9n como apuesta por desmitificar el progreso t\u00e9cnico que act\u00faa en perjuicio de las comunidades pr\u00f3ximas a pasivos ambientales, sum\u00e1ndose as\u00ed al esfuerzo movido por el proceso de reestructuraci\u00f3n a nivel nacional del marco legislativo que determin\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n de narrativas hegem\u00f3nicas. Posicion\u00e1ndose de manera cr\u00edtica frente a la responsabilidad que ha tenido la disciplina en la ocupaci\u00f3n inequitativa y desequilibrada del territorio, el proyecto \u2018Futuros Post Extractivos\u2019, dentro del cual se desarrollan ambos talleres, busca revertir esta condici\u00f3n y colaborar as\u00ed en la lucha por la justicia ambiental. En este contexto, el taller \u2018\u00bfQu\u00e9 pasa cu\u00e1ndo la mina cierre?\u2019 realizado en 2021, se centr\u00f3 en el levantamiento de antecedentes enfocados en el desarrollo de un ejercicio especulativo plausible en torno a la atomizaci\u00f3n de pasivos ambientales desde los oficios presentes ya en el Valle de Choapa. Tomando como punto de partida los supuestos desarrollados por la antrop\u00f3loga Anna Tsing en \u2018The Mushroom at the End of the World\u2019, el taller se suma a la invitaci\u00f3n a mirar hacia los alrededores en lugar de hacia adelante, alej\u00e1ndose del paradigma extractivista para buscar en su lugar aquellos rastros capaces de esbozar futuros menores.<\/p>\n<p>La segunda versi\u00f3n del taller titulado \u2018Landscape Ledgers\u2019 (Cuadernos de paisaje), realizado el primer semestre del 2022 titulada, se enfoc\u00f3 en la representaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de diversas t\u00e9cnicas de las transformaciones que ha sufrido el paisaje local. Como parte del proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n \u2018Territorios en conflicto: Construcci\u00f3n de un contra-relato de la arquitectura nacional en zonas de conflicto ambiental\u201d, el taller se basa en los Estudios de Impacto Medioambiental (EIA) para visualizar los conflictos socioambientales en base al registro realizado por el Instituto Nacional de Derechos Humanos (INDH). La interrogante que le da el nombre al curso, a su vez, abre una v\u00eda para repensar de manera colectiva tanto los detritos del pasado industrial, como los modelos que en su minuto les dieron vida desde una nueva manera de relacionarnos.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_1e0e9307 textopublicacion\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>The uncertainty that faces the fate of extractive landscapes after their eventual cessation of activities opens a way for a series of possible futures rearticulated from strategies of collective environmental remediation. Using tools such as speculation and representation, research Studios &#8216;What happens when the mine closes?&#8217; and &#8216;Landscape Ledgers&#8217; led by academic and researcher Linda Schilling, seek to propose how to inhabit landscapes damaged by the effects of prolonged extractive activities. By introducing students to the use of public environmental management tools, these Studios aim to promote a critical approach to the discipline, promoting the active role of architecture as an articulator between the various agents present in a territory.<\/p>\n<p>This academic instance seeks also to demystify the technical progress that acts to the detriment of communities close to environmental liabilities, thus joining the effort moved by the restructuring process at the national level of the legislative framework that determined the construction of hegemonic narratives.Taking a critical stance on the responsibility that the discipline has had in the inequitable and unbalanced occupation of the territory, the &#8216;Tools to See Otherwise&#8217; Studios, seek to reverse this condition and thus collaborate in the struggle for environmental justice. In this context, &#8216;What happens when the mine closes?&#8217; held in 2021, focused on the gathering of background information focused on the development of a speculative exercise around the atomization of environmental liabilities from the activities already present in the Choapa Valley. Taking as a starting point the theories developed by the anthropologist Anna Tsing in &#8216;The Mushroom at the End of the World&#8217;, this Studio adds to the invitation of the author to look towards the surroundings instead of forward, moving away from the extractivist paradigm to look instead for those traces capable of outlining <em>minor <\/em>futures.<\/p>\n<p>The second Studio \u2013&#8217;Landcape Ledgers&#8217;\u2013 held during the first half of 2022 entitled, focused on the representation through various techniques of the transformations that the local landscape has undergone. As part of the research project &#8216;Territorios en conflicto: Construcci\u00f3n de un contra-relato de la arquitectura nacional en zonas de conflicto ambiental&#8217; (&#8216;Territories in conflict: Construction of a counter-narrative of national architecture in areas of environmental conflict&#8217;), the Studio is based on the Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) to visualize socio-environmental conflicts based on the registry carried out by the National Institute of Human Rights (INDH).
